Right To Play – Champion for Children Award 2018
Our co-founder Malual Bol Kiir was presented the Right To Play Champion For Children Award at the Right To Play Big Bred Ball 2018 at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York, NY on April 24, 2018. Women’s Refugee Commission – Voices of Courage Awards 2017
The Voices of Courage Awards are presented annually to resilient, resourceful individuals who have a personal and powerful story to tell about the challenges and triumphs experienced by the tens of millions of people who have been displaced by conflict and violence worldwide.
The 2017 Voices of Courage honored our Co-founder Malual Bol Kiir of the African Youth Action Network –AYAN alongside other refugee youth, Halima Mohamed Mohamud is a young Somali woman living in the Nakivale refugee settlement in Uganda, Yusra Mardini, a Syrian refugee now living in Berlin. In 2019, The team at Africa Youth Awards and partners, recognized our co-founder and current Team Lead, Simon Marot Touloung, for his leadership and civic engagement. Marot made it to the list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans.
This list represents the hope of the young people across the continent and is use to inspire youth to continue the amazing works they keep doing for Africa.
